  • JULY 26, 2025: Book launch event for The Mapmaker, noon at Elaine’s Restaurant, 208 Queen St., Alexandria, VA 22314. Attendees can order food and drink from this terrific modern Mediterranean restaurant, which is also a literary hub for the Washington, DC area. At one p.m., there will be an author interview hosted by Jeffrey James Higgins, author and co-owner of Elaine’s.
  • AUGUST 9, 2025: Book signing, beginning at 10:30 a.m., at Sundial Books in Chincoteague Island, VA.
  • AUGUST 19, 2025: Book discussion and signing, 6:00 p.m., at the Richard Thornton Library, Oxford, NC.
  • SEPTEMBER 25, 2025: Book discussion of The Mapmaker at the Lyceum in Alexandria, VA, 7:00 p.m. This event comes as part of the Alexandria-Caen Sister City Program.
